With a passion for inductive biblical study and global perspectives on biblical interpretation, Professor Elness-Hanson’s specialty is the Hebrew Bible. She has a special love for the work of the church in Tanzania, where she lived and served for three years. Tim Burdick

Burdick holds a Ph.D. in Theology from the University of Birmingham (U.K.) and a M.S. in Psychology in mental health counseling. He has worked in fields related to adolescent chemical dependency and has research interests in church history and Quakerism.

Dr. Jan Fekkes

Dugall holds a D.Min. from Haggard Graduate School of Theology (Azusa, Calif.) and serves as senior pastor for Peace Lutheran Church in Monroe, Wash. He has research interests in missiology, student ministry and leadership development, and the New Testament.



Dr. Jan Fekkes

Holding a Ph.D. from the University of Manchester (England), Dr. Fekkes specializes in Old Testament-New Testament intertextuality, the Book of Revelation, and the theological interpretation of Scripture. He also plays the guitar and piano and enjoys leading worship at church and in the classroom. Students enjoy his quality as a teacher and scholar, and his belief in the value biblical texts hold for life today. Read full biography.



Dr. Bruce Grigsby

Dr. Grigsby’s several years of study include a Ph.D. from the University of Aberdeen (Scotland), where he studied under scholars such as F. F. Bruce. Students appreciate his solid understanding of biblical languages and Latin, his rich knowledge of the classical world, and his ability to take the British style of lecture and seminar style coursework into Trinity’s Living-Learning Community. Dr. Elizabeth Hayes

With a D.Phil. from Oxford University, Dr. Hayes specializes in both the Hebrew Bible and the Hebrew language. She is also proficient in educational technology and its use in aiding research and inductive Bible study.
