In addition to regular financial aid opportunities, the CYFS Department awards student scholarships through the following programs:

Trinity Academic Scholars

Who it’s for: High school seniors interested in the CYFS program
How much: Up to 60% tuition (up to $56,000 over four years)
Requirements:  High school senior; minimum 3.25 GPA
Selection process:  Applications are due February 1.  Selected students are interviewed by department faculty and awards are announced in March.

Lenore Myers Scholarship for Youth & Family Ministry

Who it’s for: High school seniors or transfer students interested in the CYFS major, with intentions of working in church-based ministry
How much: Up to $10,000 per year ($40,000 over four years)
Requirements:  Minimum 3.25 GPA (high school or college); demonstrated leadership and service in church, school, or community settings
Selection process:  Applications are due February 15.  Awards are announced in March.

Returning Student Scholarships

Includes the Lenore Myers Scholarship (youth ministry students) and the Nancy Post Scholarship (for seniors on internship)

Who it’s for: CYFS majors in 2nd, 3rd, or 4th years
How much: Up to $2,000 (one-time award)
Requirements:  Minimum 3.3 cumulative GPA at Trinity
Selection process:  Applications are available through the Financial Aid Office in March.  Awards are announced in April.
