The soccer team is a second family for players at Trinity Lutheran College. Many of the players room together in the spacious student apartments which are just blocks from the city water front. The team trains in and out of season on artificial grass, as Trinity coaches are devoted to the physical, tactical, and personal development of each player.
Being members of the NCCAA West Region, Trinity has the opportunity to play not only teams within one conference, but against a variety of opponents from top NAIA and NCAA schools, culminating with the National Championships in Orlando, Florida.
The Pacific Northwest provides opportunities for team retreats in the mountains and on the coast. As part of training camp in August 2010, the Trinity men’s team spent a week in the Cascade Mountains conditioning and bonding in preparation for the Eagle’s inaugural season. Eagles soccer is dedicated to giving back to the community through work projects and youth soccer clinics. As part of a small school environment, student athletes at Trinity benefit from a teacher-to-student ratio of 1:7, getting the one on one attention from professors they need to succeed in the classroom.
