Trinity Athletics announces partnership for Tri Monroe

June 3, 2014

Trinity Lutheran College Athletics and Total Health Events announce a partnership for Tri Monroe, an elite youth and amateur triathlon and aquathlon event held on June 21 at Lake Tye in Monroe, Wash.

Trinity athletes, friends and family will serve as the volunteer staff for the events, which include youth and junior elite cups, an amateur draft legal race and an age group aquathlon event. In exchange Trinity Athletics will receive a generous donation and a percentage of all proceeds from the Aquathlon.

To sign up for the Aquathlon at a discounted rate of $55.00 and to support Trinity Athletics, please enter the code “TLC” when registering. The Aquathlon consists of a 750m swim out and back around a buoy and a 5-kilometer run on a flat path around the lake and is a gentle introduction in a relatively non-competitive environment to multisport participation.

You will find the event details and registration on the official event website, at www.trimonroe.com/register.

Trinity Athletics is calling for your support. Participate in the aquathlon and then volunteer with the youth events. Or sign up to volunteer. Volunteers are needed all day with shifts begin at 6:00am and at 11:00am that will last approximately 5 hours each. If you are available to volunteer and would like to help with one or both shifts to work along side the Trinity athletes and coaches, please email matt.koenigs@tlc.edu to sign up. Your help will be greatly appreciated!
