Head Sprints & Jumps Coach
Norman Warren joins the Trinity Lutheran College Staff as the Head Sprints and Jumps Coach. He has built a strong program at Everett Community College, where he coached under the direction of Matt Koenigs, Trinity’s Athletic Director.
Building a new track and field program is nothing new for Warren, who started at EvCC in 2010 – the first year for full track and field at EvCC since 1986. Warren’s work with sprinters and jumpers was instrumental in the growth of the EvCC team His squad produced JC All-Americans in the sprints, hurdles and horizontal jumps during his four years coaching the event group at EvCC.
In the off-season, Warren coaches athletes with the Everett Track Club. He founded the club for youth and post-collegiate athletes in 2010. His coaching experience includes 15 years coaching youth gymnastics. Coaching has been a huge part of Warren’s life.
Warren competed in the sprints and horizontal jumps at Central Washington University. Track runs in the family – his daughter Tasia Clark, a freshman from Mariner High School, competes as a high jumper for Trinity’s team.
