The Trinity Lutheran College men’s golf team finished in fourth place at the Columbia Basin College invitational held October 6-8 in the Tri-Cities. The tournament format was three rounds over three days at three different courses in the Tri‐Cities: Horn Rapids, Canyon Lakes and Sun Willows.

Leading the Eagles was Ryan Karsen, a junior Business Major from Marysville. As an individual, Ryan finished sixth in the tournament in a field of 36 players with a three round total of 224 (par 216).

Teams in order of finish were Spokane CC (1st), Northern Idaho (2nd), Green River CC (3rd), Trinity Lutheran (4th), Bellevue CC (5th), Skagit Valley CC (6th) and Columbia Basin CC.

“Ryan is our veteran, and he played solid. Our other guys are all freshmen, and this was a great experience to play courses that we did not know. The battled well with great effort and attitude,” said head coach Jeff Cornish.

“We competed well, as a team we scored better each day, and next time we get a chance to play these tracks should finish even better,” Cornish said.
