Trinity Announces Men’s and Women’s Swimming for the 2015 Winter Season

The Athletic Department at Trinity Lutheran College has officially announced the rollout of a men’s and women’s swim team, making Trinity the first NCCAA swimming program in the Pacific Northwest.

The Eagle Swimmers will not be without local competition, however, as there are several colleges from various different conferences competing within the state, including schools like Pacific Lutheran University, University of Puget Sound and Seattle University.

Current plans are in place for the team to practice and compete at both the Everett YMCA and the brand new Snohomish Aquatic Center, a state-of-the-art facility scheduled to open January 2014, which offers a ten-lane competition pool and private meeting rooms for teams.

“We are so excited to offer this program to the community and look forward to the excellent student athletes who will compete for the college,” said Matt Koenigs, Athletic Director.
